This home is located at the very near end of the road and is very private and secluded.  You can still walk to the activities at Wallowa Lake but still be secluded and enjoy quiet time with your family.  Two different mountain views and the seclusion are only two of the points people rave about when describing this log home!

This home is located at the South end of Wallowa Lake, away from the activities by about 1/2 mile. Nestled up in the mountains, you won't be bothered with the drive-by traffic or the foot traffic.

Open floor plan between the kitchen and the living room. The living room offers leather furniture, flat screen tv, propane stove and large picture windows that look out onto the wrap around deck and have beautiful mountain views of Mt. Howard.  The open floor plan leads you into the kitchen that has new granite counter tops in 2018.  Take the double sliding doors out onto the wrap around deck that has lots of outside seating and a bbq for your use.   Go down the hall from the kitchen area to the main bathroom with double vanity, washer and dryer, and a shower/tub combo.  The two bedrooms are just across the hall from each other and are just steps from the bathroom.  The first bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has a queen and a twin bed.

From the living room area, climb a flight of stairs to get to two additional bedrooms, open banister loft with another flat screen TV and access to a small upper deck with a view of Mt. Howard.  The first upper bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the last bedroom offers another queen and twin bed.  This large home can easily accommodate your family of 12.

This beautiful home comes with a fun story---can you believe that it was constructed from start to finish in less than 60 days?  TRUE STORY!

Winter Rentals:  We always recommend 4x4, chains or studded tires to get to our winter open houses.  SOME renters have better traction tires and can access the homes without them but we DON'T  recommend it.  Also, weather changes rapidly in our mountain location.  We always suggest preparing for the worst.  Also many Les Schwab Tire Centers have the ability to purchase tire chains, and if you don't use them, will take them on return.  It's great insurance!  Please refer to your signed Guest Rental Agreement as it has some lovely fine print on costs, liability, etc., if you do happen to get stuck.  Please know that we do our best to plow the roads as we also clean, check, visit the home you are renting.  But sometimes Mother Nature and Murphy's Law gang up on all of us!

When we arrived at the house on Thanksgiving Day there were two plates of fresh baked cookies. Delicious and a wonderful welcome!
This was the first time our family stayed in #34. We had a large 4 generation group and the house was the perfect size. Wonderful house and accommodations. The beds were very soft and the warm flannel sheets were amazing. If there is snow (as there was during our stay) you will need good snow tires and an all wheel drive to reach the house. We will definitely rent this house again.

The cabin I initially wanted to rent did not accommodate the number of people in our group. I reached out to the staff and they helped me find several options for cabins that would work for us. I really appreciated the help, and it took the guess work out of finding the perfect property for our family. Thank you!
Our expectations were exceeded! This cabin is even nicer in real life than in the pictures and the location is very good. Close enough to easily walk to shops, go-carts, the tram and the lake, yet set back at the base of the mountains to give it a very private and peaceful feel. Our large group had no trouble relaxing as the big deck accommodated us nicely with plenty of chairs and a big table for eating meals and hanging out enjoying the view. Absolutely loved this property. It worked out great for us and everyone had a very nice time. We liked the ease of check in/out with the key pad. It made it very easy to just show up and start enjoying the property. The home was well equipped with extra blankets and towels, as well as plenty of outdoor chairs for our large group. Loved the location and the view of the tram and hillside from the deck was great. We had fun looking at hang gliders and tram riders through our binoculars. The eastern exposure made sitting on the deck in the morning the perfect place to sip on morning coffee in the early sunshine! Would definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again myself.

We had minimal contact with a 'live' person. Contact via email was fine.
We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property!! All of the properties around us were vacant, so it was extremely quiet and peaceful, but still close to the activities.

The rental team is very friendly and responsive. They provided answers to all of my questions and needs quickly.
The cabin size was perfect for the max size. The cabin was very clean. Its in a safe area and the people around were extremely friendly. The location would be a little bit more challenging for a non 4x4 during less than ideal weather. It is a 20 min walk to the lake, but since parking is free at the marina park, the distance from the lake was a non issue. Some things I would recommend for the property, 1. Central air or AC units for the main room and the upstairs balcony area. Way too warm to be comfortable during summer. 2. The shades in the bedrooms should be darker, they allowed too much light in. 3. Should add a screen door to the balcony area so that it could be left open at night without the fear of bugs. 4. The door locks need upgrading or fixing. They either didn't work or they took a lot of effort to lock them.

This was our first vacation to Lake Wallowa. We really enjoyed the scenery/wildlife. Our cabin was nice and reasonably priced. I wish we could have stayed a few more days. A bear visited our cabin and got into the trash cans, luckily there wasnt much in them at the time.

We were a party of 6. Everything was as we had hoped it would be :) We prepared a couple of meals while we were there and were excited to find all the cooking utensils we needed, like home away from home. We enjoyed a special dinner on the deck, the weather was perfect and had a great view! We are looking forward to next year!

Thank you for the hassle free vacation and the better than advertised cabin! We REALLY,REALLY, REALLY, enjoyed ourselves. Everything was perfect. It was truly one of the best vacations we've taken, the cabin was great, well equipped, and very comfortable. We have shared our experience with all our friends and can't wait to get back over your way. It was nice working with you, and a better place than we expected or imagined . I only wish more people were as fun to deal with as you folks are, you really make a vacation what it should be--fun and easy with no worries or problems. Your fans for life--John & Laura
