Description

This home is located at the very end of the road and is very private and secluded.  You can still walk to the activities at Wallowa Lake but still be secluded and enjoy quiet time with your family.  Two different mountain views and the seclusion are only two of the points people rave about when describing this log home!

This home is located at the South end of Wallowa Lake, away from the activities by about 1/2 mile. Nestled up in the mountains, you won`t be bothered with the drive-by traffic or the foot traffic. Open floor plan between the kitchen and the living room. Queen bed and twin in 1st bedroom, double in 2nd bedroom, upper bedroom has a queen sized bed in one, and a queen and a twin bed in the other. The double futon is in the loft area.

Propane fireplace in living room, leather furniture in the living room.  Each bedroom has log furniture.  Upper loft area opens up to a small balcony which is the perfect place to have your morning coffee.  

Shower tub combo on the main level, shower on the upper level.

This home is available year round, but a 4X4 is required (and chains aren`t a bad idea to carry) for access in the winter months.

2 night stays are allowed in mid and off season. Peak season requires a 3 night stay unless only 2 nights are available. If only 2 nights are available, please contact us at 800-709-2039 and we would be happy to "fill the gap" with your reservation.

*  Please read the WELCOME letter on our expectations of you as you check out.
*  Confirmation letters with key information and directions sent 2 weeks and again 3 days prior to arrival once your reservation is paid in full.

ALL CABINS ARE NON SMOKING--$500 FINE IF WE DETECT SMOKING.

The Basics:
*  STARTER KIT provides paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and dish detergent.
*  Spices, oils, condiments, etc., are NOT included.
*  Kitchens are fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc.  
*  Linens and towels are provided, but not all places provide beach towels.  
*  All rentals have either a propane or charcoal grill.  Charcoal is not provided.
*  If your home has a wood stove/fireplace, firewood and matches are provided.  

Security Requirements:
*  CSA - Travel Insurance is available to purchase and may cover any trip hiccups.   
*  Credit cards on file will be charged for excessive wear and tear on our homes.

Forms of Payment:
*  Visa, Mastercard, Discover
*  Checks:  personal, cashier's or money orders
*  Checks payable to WLVR and mailed to PO Box 296, Enterprise, OR 97828, received 15 days prior to arrival.

Cancelation Policy:  
*  If you have purchased CSA Travel Insurance, you may be covered for life's hiccups before your trip, during your trip, and even up to 6 months after your trip.  Check into this as it could help with your trip.  
*  If you have given us more than 30 days notice before your arrival, then we will give you your deposit back minus a $50 cancelation fee.
* If you cancel within the 30 days of your arrival and we are able to rerent the home out for the same number of days as you had, then a full refund minus a $50 cancelation fee.
*  If your home sits empty, then we retain your deposit.
*  If you have to cancel for a medical issue, or a family emergency, we will evaluate the issue on a case by case basis and may allow you to keep your money on file for a future stay in the same cabin. 

Additional Notes:  
*  Balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival.  Card on file will be charged unless other arrangements have been made.
*  Not all of our homes are pet friendly.  Please review our pet friendly homes.  Please don't just assume you can bring your pet to all of our homes.  Sneaking pets in will incur heavy fines.

The cabin size was perfect for the max size. The cabin was very clean. Its in a safe area and the people around were extremely friendly. The location would be a little bit more challenging for a non 4x4 during less than ideal weather. It is a 20 min walk to the lake, but since parking is free at the marina park, the distance from the lake was a non issue. Some things I would recommend for the property, 1. Central air or AC units for the main room and the upstairs balcony area. Way too warm to be comfortable during summer. 2. The shades in the bedrooms should be darker, they allowed too much light in. 3. Should add a screen door to the balcony area so that it could be left open at night without the fear of bugs. 4. The door locks need upgrading or fixing. They either didn't work or they took a lot of effort to lock them.

This was our first vacation to Lake Wallowa. We really enjoyed the scenery/wildlife. Our cabin was nice and reasonably priced. I wish we could have stayed a few more days. A bear visited our cabin and got into the trash cans, luckily there wasnt much in them at the time.

Location - Resort side of Wallowa Lake.

Properties located at the resort side of Wallowa Lake will be within easy walking distance of shops, activities, restaurants. The south side is more of the touristy side of Wallowa Lake. Enjoy the deer, be within quick walking distance to the Wallowa Lake Tramway, and be able to walk and enjoy the restaurants and shopping at Wallowa Lake easily from these south side homes.
