Policies and Procedures

NOTE: Wallowa Lake Vacation Rentals does NOT have an office at the lake. You must rely on the confirmation we provide you to find your home. If you need any assistance finding your cabin, please call the 24-hour support number you were given. We will be more than happy to guide to your cabin.

Wallowa Lake Vacation Rentals requires 1/2 of the rent payable in a Visa, Mastercard, check, cash or money order. Upon receipt of your deposit, a confirmation will be sent to you with directions to the house, key information, and the balance due, which includes the 6% hotel tax for the Lake area and 9% hotel tax for the Joseph homes. If you would like to pay by credit card, please fill out the information online when you book online, (this is a secure site), or if you prefer to pay by check the balance is due 7 days prior to your arrival. It is very important that you include your Reservation number and name with all payments and correspondence. This will help us ensure the proper application of funds to your reservation.

Should you ever need any assistance during your stay, please feel free to contact us. We will provide you with both our office and cell phone number. Wallowa Lake Vacation Rentals is a family-based business, our support staff will be more than happy to help you.

The cabins are fully furnished and we provide you with the following basics:

  • Garbage bags
  • Dish Soap
  • Dishwasher Soap
  • Pots & Pans
  • Kitchen Utensils
  • Towels & Linens
  • BBQ & Lawn Furniture
  • Toilet Paper & Paper Towels

Cancellation Policy

If we receive your cancellation request within 30 days from the date of your arrival date, a refund of your deposit will be given minus $50 for a cancellation fee. If we do not receive your cancellation request within 30 days from the date of your arrival but we are able to rent out your requested place for the same number of days as your request, refund given minus $50 for a cancellation fee. If we do not receive your cancellation request within 30 days from the date of your arrival and we are not able to rent out your requested place for your requested number of days, no refund is given.

Pet Policy

With pre-approval, we can welcome your pooch at SOME of our vacation rentals.

  • Please call or email with your desired unit # to see if that unit allows pets
  • All pets must be pre-approved
  • A signed rental agreement is required PRIOR to your occupancy of the home
  • There is a $10 per day fee for the pooch, non-refundable
  • Keep the pet on a leash at all times while outside
  • Scoop all poop and dispose of it by wrapping it in a plastic sack and then placing it in the garbage. If there is additional time policing the yard and removing waste, you agree to reimburse us for this at $20 per hour; minimum charge of $60.
  • Please keep your pooch off of the furniture and out of the bedrooms.
  • If there is pet waste on the carpet or furnishings, you agree to reimburse us for the cost of professionally cleaning the carpets and/or furniture.
  • If there is any damage that is done to the unit or grounds from the pooch, you agree to reimburse us for returning the unit to its original condition.

Please contact us for a pet agreement, sign it and return it to us within 10 days from the date you received it.

If reimbursement is to be made for any of the above stipulations, payment is to be made via money order and is to be received within 15 days from departure date.
